About the Event

The programme is designed to help women to realise their potential both within their current role and developing beyond that role should that be their aim. The programme consists of 4x1 day face-to-face sessions, completed across 4 months, and covers areas such as:

  • Keeping motivated and energised
  • Assertiveness; finding the words
  • Body language and space
  • Managing change
  • Taking control

This programme has been run with great success across a number of industries, including other NHS Trusts, and we are working closely with the course trainers to ensure that this pilot will be tailored to meet the development needs of female clinicians within the NHS.

This is a pilot scheme to explore whether this programme will have these intended outcomes and, if successful, we will be looking to run this programme regularly at PGMC.

For this pilot we are looking for a group of women working at F1-IMT3 equivalent grades and newly qualified female Consultants to enrol. You would need to be available for all 4 of the below dates in order to attend – attendance at all 4 dates is essential to the success of the course.

  • 25th     October
  • 30th     November
  • 17th     December
  • 10th     January

*Those that register and are offered a place on this programme are agreeing that they will be liable for the course cost of £500 if they do not attend or cancel (where we are not able to re-fill the space)*

Spaces are limited so please register your interest by the 24th September at the latest and we will then get in touch to offer you a place if you meet the above criteria for this pilot. If you require further information or have someone in mind that you think might be well-suited for this programme please contact PGME Coodinator, Caitlin Taylor at caitlin.taylor4@nhs.net or 01752 430493
