About the Event

‘Want to learn an essential skill that will equip you for your Foundation years and beyond? Ultrasound-guided techniques are becoming ubiquitous in acute healthcare settings. We run a practical 1-hour ultrasound-guided venous access teaching session for F1 doctors. You will learn (or practice) how to gain vascular access using point-of-care ultrasound machines.

Feedback from last year’s session: ‘very good, interactive and practical session’, ‘Very useful for consolidating/adding knowledge from MAU. Very clear/well explained teaching’

We will be able to complete Horus SLEs for you which may include: cannulation / venepuncture; ultrasound-guided technique; local anaesthetic administration.  We look for Sam & Helena (anaesthetic trainees) Taking place: Derriford Hospital, Class Room C ( Next to the Sim Suite) Inside Discovery Library.
